What we believe

We affirm the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed  which anchor us to a tradition of theological reflection that has guided life and thought in diverse Christian communities across the centuries.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried;

he descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again;

he ascended into heaven,

he is seated at the right hand of the Father,

and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting.

Amen.

Visions and values

LIFE WITH GOD, JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT

We emphasize  faith in the Triune God and recognize that our church exists as a result of living out that faith with God.

HOLISTIC WORSHIP

We seek to worship God with our entire lives, body-mind-spirit.

BIBLICAL INTERACTION

We seek to interact with God’s story in the Bible rather than just retain information about God.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION

We emphasize the importance of a healthy soul.

TRANSFORMATIONAL COMMUNITY

We seek to share life together in ways that foster community and meaning.

EMPOWERING OTHERS

We seek to empower others to influence and lead in their spheres of life.  We believe all of us have contributions to offer in God’s kingdom.

BEING GOOD NEIGHBORS

We intentionally look for ways to “love our neighbor as ourselves.”
